I had a smooth experience redeeming my Naivas Supermarket loyalty points.

You will see a photo of my loyalty points towards the end of this post.

Here are the steps I followed.

• I walked into Naivas Kisii Hyper
• Went to the Customer Care desk
• Requested a printout for my loyalty point amount
• Picked the items I wanted to buy
• Queued at one of the cashiers
• On my turn, the cashier computed the total amount of my items
• My total was Ksh. 10,399
• I handed my loyalty point printout
• I paid Ksh. 4,579 because I had 5,820 loyalty points

Here is a photo of my points and the amount I paid.

Here is another thing to note. I have never received any notification from Naivas about my loyalty points expiring.

It took about 5 years to accumulate the 5820 points since I have been a member of the loyalty program since 2017.

That means I have used about Ksh. 600,000 shopping at Naivas since 2017 because each Ksh. 100 is 1 point.

Any purchase under Ksh. 100 earns you no points. Also, the program rounds down your shopping amount to the nearest hundred.

I will give you an example.

If your shopping is Ksh. 5,599, you will earn 55 points and not 56 points.

The redeeming process was pleasing compared to Chandarana Food Plus.

As a member of the Food Plus loyalty program, I keep getting notifications that my points will expire, so I need to redeem them. The points expire every 12 months.

I am also in the Carrefour Loyalty Points program, but I have yet to redeem the points. Sooner or later, I will share my experience redeeming the points.
