There are three significant ways on how to open an Equity Bank account online without paying a visit to any of their branches. These ways are through the EazzyNet, Eazzy App, and using a USSD code.

I am going to analyze all the steps you need in all three methods.

How to open an Account through Eazzynet

  1. Visit the Eazzy website from your browser.
  2. Select your country and press ‘enter’.
  3. A log-in tab will appear, on the bottom left of the page, you will find ‘not a member of the Equity Bank? Open a hapo hapo account.
  4. Click on the link, and you will redirect to another tab.
  5. Fill in the details like name, occupation, and residential address.
  6. Select the mode in which you want to receive the on-time delivery PIN.
  7. Then click on continue.
  8. You will redirect to another page where you need to accept terms and conditions.
  9. You will then receive a one-time PIN (OTP), input the PIN.
  10. If correct, you are ready to go. You now have an Equity bank account.

How to open an account using Eazzy App

Download the App from App Store or Google Play Store and install it.

  1. Open the App and select that you are a new user.
  2. Choose that you don’t have a bank account.
  3. Input your first and last name.
  4. Select input your identification document.
  5. Enter your mobile number.
  6. Click on agree to terms and conditions.
  7. You will receive a message with your account number and pin.
  8. The Account is ready for saving.

How to open an account using USSD code

  1. Dial the USSD code *247#.
  2. Select your identification number.
  3. Enter the details.
  4. Enter the reference code if referred, if not press one and continue.
  5. Accept the terms and conditions.
  6. You will receive a message with your bank account and PIN.
