How to Kopa credo on Airtel

That you can get broke while desperately needing airtime is a no brainer. Alternatively, you may be unable to access the nearest shop to get an airtime voucher. So how do you get airtime when you are either cash strapped or with cash but can’t get airtime? Simple! Just Kopa credo.

Airtel Kenya offers its subscribers easy access to airtime when they lack funds. You can easily access credit, albeit at a slight charge.

The following are the requirements needed before you can enjoy Kopa credo.

  • You must have been a registered subscriber for the last three months or more.
  • You don’t have an existing kopa credo balance.
  • Must have repaid the last credit advanced in 72 hours.

How to borrow airtime from Airtel

Using USSD *310#

  • Simply go to your dial pad
  • Dial *310# and make a call
  • You will get options
  • Select 1. For Kopa credo
  • Airtel with then furnish you with the available amounts of credit you are eligible to borrow
  • Enter the number corresponding to the amount of airtime you wish to borrow
  • Click okay

After a few seconds, you will receive a prompt indicating the amount has been credited to your account

Using USSD *544#

  • Dial *544#
  • And call the number
  • Enter 4. “Kopa credo”
  • Select option 1.”Kopa credo” and enter 1 on the dial box
  • You will have a list of the amount of airtime you qualify for
  • Enter the number corresponding to the amount of airtime you wish to borrow.
  • Click okay
  • You will receive a message prompt in a few seconds acknowledging the receipt of the airtime.

Airtel Kenya charges against the amount of airtime you receive e.g. if you seek 100 airtime you will receive ksh90 worth of airtime and ksh10 goes to Airtel. There is a repayment grace period of 72 hours. After its expiry, you won’t be eligible for another credit advance unless you clear your debt.
