Back in the days the Kenya power agent would simply come and read your meter. However, things have since changed. The use of tokens means you have to know your meter number to make payments against it.If you are reading these chances are you lost or forgot your meter number.
How to check your meter number
The procedure for checking your meter number depends on the brand of your meter box. However, the process is usually straight forward and easy especially if you know the KPLC meter codes.
- SHENZEN Meter Box. Press 65 then enter.
- HEXING Meter Box. Dial 804 then press enter or #
- ACTARIS Meter Box. Dial 100 and then press enter or #
- CONLOG Meter Box. Dial #100 then enter or press #
Go to the dial pad of your meter
Press the codes corresponding to your meter brand if your meter is not listed try 000 then # and Enter or 100 then # Enter
The 11 code meter number will be displayed on the LCD screen (Be keen, some meters will display the number in portions. You will need pen and paper to capture the entier meter)
