Storo Bonus was introduced by Safaricom PLC back in 2015. It is meant to encourage users to spend more airtime by awarding a 100% bonus airtime for those who hit their daily targets.
The bonus can be used to make calls, buy data bundles or text messages before it expires; at midnight. So, it is better to know your Storo Bonus balance to maximize its use before it expires. This article will show you how to check your Storo Bonus balance.
To check via USSD codes;
Method #1
- Go to your phone or dialer application
- Dial *460# from your Safaricom line
- Click the call button. This will run the USSD code and display a menu
- Find the Check my Storo Bonus Balance option. Key in the number corresponding to it, that is, 2.
- Click on send. You will receive an SMS showing your Storo Bonus balance and its expiry date (midnight).

Method #2
The usual customer self-care USSD code can also be used to show your Storo Bonus balance.
- Dial *100#
- Reply with 8 for the option Stori Ibambe
- Follow the prompts as in (1) above
Method #3
You can also check your Storo Bonus balance by sending a text message to 144. To do so;
- Open your messages application
- Tap on create new message icon
- Type balance in the message body. Even a blank message will do.
- Send it to 144.

After a few seconds, a message will pop on your screen showing all your line balances and their expiry dates, including your Storo Bonus balance. You can click on Save if you want the message in your inbox.
